Worker Voice is a Public Charitable Trust working registered not-for profit organization working to ensure social justice, economic, educational, legal and political enhancement to the downtrodden and disadvantages sections of the society, through developing mechanism and capacity building.
To create a sense of brotherhood, cooperation, mutual harmony and to perform work for general public.
The objects for which this trust is established are:
1) To be an important source of Information for both citizens and government and to monitor government policies and actions, to advocate and offer alternative policies.
2) To provide both immediate relief and longer-term transformative change-by defending collective interests and increasing accountability; providing solidarity mechanisms and promoting participation; influencing decision making; directly engaging in service delivery and challenging prejudice.
3) To promote political participation and educate people of their rights and obligations as democratic citizens, to expose the corrupt conduct of public officials and lobby for governance reforms.
4) To be an arena for expression of diverse interests and to lobby for interest and
concerns of women, third gender, sex-workers, physically-mentally disabled, students, farmers, environmentalists, trade unionists, lawyers, doctors and so on.
5) To play an important role in mediating and resolving conflicts through mediation and arbitration.
6) To be an agent of change and ensure gender justice for women and participate as members of Sexual Harassment Committee, to suggest changes and reforms in law pertaining to women.
7) To perform work of charity for the general public.
8) To conduct litigation on matters of Public Interest.
9) To create a violence free, gender just society through social research, capacity building, advocacy and to raise the profile of excluded groups.
10) To work on designing strategies and undertaking advocacy and campaigns for social and political empowerment of women and children.
11) To organize seminar on social justice, educational upliftment, to raise legal demands and seek appropriate remedy for protection and enforcement of fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution of India.
12) To take-up effective reasonable and lawful steps for the solution to common problems like health, sanitation, environment, traffic, illegal encroachment, unauthorized and illegal constructions and protection and conservation of the Heritage Properties.
13) To make efforts / counselling to redress/elevate family problems, Domestic/Social problems faced by Women, sex-workers, third gender, children and poor persons.
14) To engage in the activities for the welfare and up-liftmen of women particularly widows, old aged and those belonging to lower strata of society.
15) To provide and arrange information, awareness and training of Human Rights for the benefit of the General public. etc.
